so i guess my strategy is to get yubel onto the field and keep her there as long as possible (using the kinda strong and easy to summon monsters as tributes each turn) whilst trying to get my opponent to attack her.
however i have NO IDEA WHAT I'M DOING and kinda just wing it and see how it goes.
i haven't checked banned lists because i don't do proper contest things so idgaf really :3

ReplyDeleteGiant Orc, Tsurugi, Back to Square One don’t help your Yubel strategy.
Mask of the Accursed (you WANT your opponents to attack your Yubel)
Mispolymerization (I don’t think you’ll be running into many Fusion monsters tbh)
Level Conversion Lab (is this for summoning Yubel? It’s a bit situational and might not even work, you’d be as well taking it out for a grave-summoning card or a Special Summoner)
I’d drop Hane-Hane and get a Penguin Soldier if you have one as well.
Also you might want to replace most of the normal monsters (keep like .. 3, tops, but since their only function is to defend and attack, and as tributes for Yubel you’d be as well finding ones with effects that let you bring out Yubel or more monsters. I recommend you keep Sonic Duck and Nin-Ken Dog though because they are fucking COOOOL.
Black Pendant and Axe of Despair seemed a bit out of place but I suppose if you’re using other cards some added attack power wouldn’t go amiss. And the only banned cards are Last Will/Pot of Greed.
It occurs to me that you could do without a lot of these hand replacement cards if you just had more copies of Yubel – since you’re going to have at least ONE in your deck at the beginning of the duel unless you get EXTREMELY EXTREMELY unlucky. xD Even if you don’t buy them I’d probably drop at least Pot of Generosity since it doesn’t help you unless Yubel is in your hand.

More Yubels if you’re willing to get them
Dandylion (you can use it for a tribute, and then the two tokens separately)
Other monsters that let you Special Summon extra monsters
More cards like Staunch Defender (or Battle Mania etc)
Limit Reverse (I mention this cos you can pack 3 and it’s basically Call of the Haunted for <1000 atk, ie Yubel)
